My name is Jon Wayne Faust, author of “Helicopter Harry and the Copter Kids Whirlybird Adventures.” I started writing this book 17 years ago when I was training to be a pilot. I originally wrote the story for children 8 and up as a screenplay about the evolution of the helicopter told in a fun animated way with Leonardo da Vinci making a cameo appearance. The story eventually morphed into today’s book.
I currently work as a Construction Analyst for the U.S. Small Business Administration, Office of Disaster Relief. I perform disaster assessments throughout the nation when natural disasters strike. I create a cost analysis report to determine how much the home or business will cost to repair or rebuild so the applicant can receive a loan.
